Golfing on Canyon Lake's course is a challenging affair with tricky fairways, tough greens, difficult hazards and unique tee placements. Winding through the community, the course is fun and challenging for all abilities. First timers are usually surprised at the difficulty of the course, but once you've played a few times and figured out the nuances, it gets easier and even more fun.
The course is a 6000 yard par-72 with a rating of 68.7 and a slope rating of 123. There are potential water hazards on 4 holes and the signature green on 13 is surrounded by water. The signature tee box is 17 with a beautiful and stunning elevation drop to a postage stamp sized green - one of the most interesting par 3's in our area.
There is also a driving range and practice greens. The pro-shop inside the country club offers modern golf equipment and clothing at a reasonable price. Lessons are offered by the local pro and there are also golf camps for the kids a few times each year.
The Men's Club and Women's Club play and compete frequently and put on various fun events during the year. Local high school teams also use the facilities.
The course is maintained in top shape and allows for year round golf for residents and their guests at extremely competitive prices. Non-residents can also play with an annual membership.
After your game, you can enjoy a refreshing drink and relax at The Canyon Lake Country Club which offers great views of several holes from it's bar and restaurant area along with outdoor patio.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers specials throughout the week. The Country Club restaurant is open to the general public and can be accessed off Railroad Canyon Rd.
