Canyon Lake Parks and Beaches

Canyon Lake is home to a variety of parks and beaches scattered around the community, each with it's own appeal and special features designed for resident's enjoyment.  Some parks and beaches are combined.  Several have playground equipment.  Some allow dogs.  Here's some more information about each and their amenities.

Holiday Harbor

Both a park and beach, Holiday Harbor on the Main Lake is one of Canyon Lake's most popular facilities.  This lakeside park features a large grassy area often used or reserved for events, food prep facilities, playground equipment, volleyball court, lake swimming area, and restrooms.  It's also home of the Canyon Lake amphitheater and concert venue.  Holiday Harbor is located adjacent to the main launch ramp and features a generous parking lot for cars and trucks with boat trailers.  There are day docks at the water for temporary tie-ups.  Also a great spot to watch the 4th of July fireworks or the Christmas Boat Parade.

Sunset Beach

The largest beach in Canyon Lake located on the Main Lake with beautiful sand where you can lay a blanket for the day or pull the boat up and hang out.  Just steps from the lodge, this idyllic location is a beautiful place to catch a Sunset as the name implies.  There's a large swimming area, shaded playground equipment, restroom facilities, golf cart parking, and of course food and drink choices at the lodge.

Sierra Park

Further north on the Main Lake, Sierra Park with it's large grassy area is a great spot for birthday parties and other resident events.  There is water access in a quiet cove, with a small beach and a day dock.  Restroom facilities are available and Sierra Park is home to the Frisbee Golf Course.  There is a small bit of playground equipment as well.  Just across the street is Sierra Park North which is a large grassy area that's mostly unimproved but features the Canyon Lake Pump Track for the kiddos.

Moonstone Beach

A small beach on the Main Lake with spectacular views up and down the lake, this is the perfect spot to watch all the action on the water.  There's a small dock, temporary restroom facilities, and some parking for golf carts and cars.  Throw your blanket or chairs down and enjoy the sounds of boats and waves lapping on the shore.

Indian Beach

The largest park and beach area on the East Bay, Indian Beach is home to many Canyon Lake events during the year such as the Canyon Lake Theater Plays in the Park, the Paddle and Peddle Regatta, and others.  There is a permanent stage for the theater events, playground equipment, restrooms, swimming area, and sandy beach.  The park features some of the tallest trees in Canyon Lake and offers cool shade in the summertime if you just want to have a picnic in the park.

Eastport Park

This park is the site of the East Bay launch ramp and is also home to the pickleball courts, basketball courts, and the Canyon Lake dog park.  There's restroom facilities and ample parking for both cars and boat trailers. 

Diamond Point Park

Located near the center of the community just off Blue Teal Dr., Diamond Point is a small grassy park with a day dock on the East Bay. It's an easy walk for residents on Blue Teal Dr., Hiding Bass Pl., or Red Lure Pl., and a nice relaxing spot to watch the boats cruise by.

Lions Park (dog friendly)

This small neighborhood park fronts Shelter Cove on the East Bay and features picnic tables and BBQ's.  There's a day dock if you want to pull up and enjoy the peaceful cove for a while.  Easy access from Yellow Feather Dr., Sea Horse Circle, and Silver Strike Dr.

Emerald Park (dog friendly)

Emerald park is small park on the East Bay just off of Gray Fox Dr.  Dogs are allowed on a leash and residents can enjoy a small grassy area and beach which ideal for launching a paddleboard or kayak.

Roadrunner Park

This lakeside park on the East Bay is home to a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, swimming area, and covered picnic area with BBQ grills.  It looks out over Canyon Bay and is a great spot to watch boaters cruise by.  There's also a day dock if you need to park the boat and run up to the house to refill the cooler.

Steel Head Park

This neighborhood park accessible by sidewalk is located between Steel Head Dr. and Swan Point Dr. in the east end of the community.  It features a large grassy area, volleyball court, shaded playground equipment, and a view of one of our East Bay coves.

Evans Park

Located between Canyon Lake Dr. and Schooner Dr, this park with it's walking trail is a great place to go for a run, play some football, or just go for a picnic.  There's lots of grass in this 1.8 acre park in the east end of the community.

Harrelson Park (dog friendly)

Located on the main lake just off Catfish Cove, this park features a small pavilion with seating and tables.  There a walkway down to the water's edge and a small dock.  Dogs are allowed on a leash.  Great spot to check out who's fishing or swimming in the cove and prime location for 4th of July fireworks.

Outrigger Park

Just off Outrigger Dr, in the very east end of the community this neighborhood park is green and grassy and features a few picnic tables and some playground equipment
