Canyon Lake is a recreation minded community and nearly every type of sport and fitness activity is available at various facilities throughout the community.
The pump track is a fairly new facility created as another great outlet for kids in the community. Located at Vacation Park just across the street from Sierra Park, this fun little track features a couple loops with some nice rolls and shallow bowls designed as a fun place to jam on non-motorized scooters, skateboards and bikes. There are special hours and a few rules for users so make sure you check out the details on the POA website where you can download a special waiver required for use. Restroom facilities are onsite.
The basketball courts at the East Bay Park are a great facility for practice and pick-up games. There are two courts that are maintained year-round for residents enjoyment. The park is open until 10pm and restroom facilities are located in the park.
The Frisbee golf course located at Sierra Park is a fun four hole affair set against the backdrop of Big Bass cove. Park hours are 6 to 10 , but the course is not lit so daytime play is the best. Take a dip at the beach after a tough game.
There are horseshoe pits at a few of the parks in the community like Holiday Harbor and Roadrunner Park.
There is a dedicated jogging trail at Evans Park and the main streets in Canyon Lake all feature a wide bike/pedestrian/golf cart lane. The hilly nature of the community makes for challenging training.
Volleyball courts can be found at Holiday Harbor, Roadrunner Park, Sierra Park, and Sunset Beach.
